About Covington

Covington is a village of roughly 2,570 residents in Miami County, Ohio, within the Dayton metropolitan area. It sits along the Stillwater River near its confluence with Greenville Creek.

A small town with deep roots

Covington was incorporated in 1835 on the site of the 1793 Fort Rowdy and was laid out in 1816. Earlier names for the settlement were Friendship, Newberry and Stillwater. Today the Village is home of the Covington Buccaneers.
